INTRODUCTION TO CLASSIC CAR BODYWORK REPAIR

Types of Primers and Paints

This course is for anyone in the process of restoring a classic vehicle, anyone thinking of taking on a vehicle project or people who have an interest in classic car restoration

Approximate course length:

2 hours

This course is for:

Anyone in the process of restoring a classic vehicle, anyone thinking of taking on a vehicle project or people who have an interest in classic car restoration

The course will cover:

About the range of primers and paints available to carry out repairs and tips on their application.

The theory course will cover:

• Health and safety

• The importance of data sheets

• Tools and equipment

• A range of primers and paints

• Aerosol based products

• Masking materials

• Applying primers and paints

The course will be live and delivered by a tutor remotely via Zoom and attendees will connect from their chosen environment. This is a leisure course so there are no exams or assessments involved; it is intended to be a relaxed, sociable and supportive environment where you can learn with no pressure. There will be enough time at the end of the course for you to ask questions and hopefully take away information that you can put into practice. Your tutor will give you feedback during the course and you will be able to self-assess.

This course is offered free of charge and there are no other costs.

You will need either a smart phone, tablet, laptop or other computer with internet access to do the course via a link you will be sent.
